Even with 1000 to 889 as an eventual bottom, upside possibilities have been artificially crushed and MUXs very large short positions have had no trouble backing it down when under a normal market it should have run much higher on the bounces. The algos are not only fine tuned to fool us, but each other as well. All traditional turning points and signals are @*$#'ed with, to keep others out or to draw them in and chop their heads off. Billions of dollars are spent to perfect these systems. Obfuscation and subterfuge are where it's at today.
