Toscana, the ship carrying Giga Shanghai’s Europe-bound Model 3 vehicles, has finally arrived in Zeebrugge, Belgium. The Tesla ship carried about half of the 7,000 Made-in-China Model 3s that Giga Shanghai exported to Europe late last month.
Tesla ship tracker Morten Grove reported Toscana’s arrival at Zeebrugge. “Toscana the first ever Tesla-Ship from China has arrived in Zeebrugge with MIC Model 3 SR+ onboard for Europe,” he tweeted. Grove also noted that Toscana made port next to Grand Aurora, a ship that carried refresh Model 3s from Tesla’s Fremont Factory in the United States....
Tesla stock is up about 46% since the S&P index committee said it would add Tesla to the S&P 500 on Dec. 21. Traders have bid up shares in anticipation of the tens of billions of dollars worth of Tesla stock index funds will be buying on or around that date.
Investors and traders have been following the S&P indexation ever since Tesla reported a second-quarter profit, which qualified the company for inclusion.
