Radeon 6600 (non XT) launching on October 13.

Price in this article seems quite high. XT, which is one next step up has MSRP of $379, so this one should be $30-50 less on MSRP.

NVDA is down 2%. I was wondering if it might be related to that somehow?

There is some talk of low end Intel graphics cards, in addition to mid range.

Like down to 75 W and sub $200 price.

Seems like XLNX is bumping against that $160 the whole day.... On a no news day...

The combo of AMD and XLNX up makes me wonder if someone knows something...

OK, so I finally broke down and bought some AMD ($22K worth, about a third of my NVDA position). Although I still favor NVDA for its dominant AI position, NVDA is expensive and AMD has a more reasonable valuation and excellent growth options as it continues to eat Intel’s lunch.

Nice Frank. Also, as some of us here have been fiddling with: XLNX stock as a way to acquire AMD stock at some discount. The takeover ratio is 1.7234 and we are trading below the ratio. So when the takeover is approved (most likely within 3 months), XLNX should jump toward this ratio.

As of today AMD close, XLNX should be trading at $186 (or $26 higher)

Some personnel moves:

Intel -> AMD and some other earlier ones mentioned.

Seems like the AMD Datacenter will have Intel veterans leading it. Maybe they like to sell AMD products instead of Intel.
