Just one thing I did not think of:

AMD is going to get access to all of the Xilinx patents, such as this one:

Years of failure at Intel are even worse in the light of AMD's strides. Turning their fabs into foundries for auto parts says it all.

Another take on AMD - MediaTek potential Joint Venture:

Intel is currently selling MediaTek 5G chips for laptop.
AMD does not have support for this for now

Other things to consider:
AMD gets WIFI chips from Intel.
JV could integrate it as well

AMD is getting Ethernet support from Intel
Either JV or Xilinx could / should replace it.

Radeon 6600 (non XT) launching on October 13.

Price in this article seems quite high. XT, which is one next step up has MSRP of $379, so this one should be $30-50 less on MSRP.

NVDA is down 2%. I was wondering if it might be related to that somehow?

There is some talk of low end Intel graphics cards, in addition to mid range.

Like down to 75 W and sub $200 price.
