Our company management has been extremely busy in 2018 and has made very important progress on multiple fronts. We recently returned from the SEDEC Security Expo in Ankara, Turkey where we signed a wide-ranging international marketing agreement with Gokser Makine Sanayi or Gokser Machine Energy, a major aerospace and defense company serving the Republic of Turkey and many other countries. Gokser's CEO, Ms. Hilal Unal Turkan, extended every consideration to the Lamperd team during our visit to further our new joint marketing relationship. Notably, our international sales representative, Amer Ebied, was invited to remain in Turkey for 10 days after the closing of SEDEC to help work on the Gokser marketing campaign and plans for the licensed manufacture of Lamperd products at Gokser's facilities in Turkey. I would like to also point out that because of Lamperd's well-recognized expertise and long standing experience in the field of less lethal technologies, we were the only company invited to speak on this important topic at the SEDEC keynote forum. As a result of our very successful presentations, meetings and new joint marketing agreement with Gokser, we are now in the best position we have ever been to fulfill the less lethal product and training needs of government and private customers throughout Europe and Asia.
On the home front, Lamperd has had other positive developments recently. The company has been receiving repeat product orders from new customers including Kodiak Wildlife Products and several new police services clients in Canada. The class was sponsored by the Clairton PD (Matt McDanel) and the Glassport PD (Chief Cliff LaFever) due to a growing need to respond to increased demonstrations in the Pittsburgh, PA area relating to high tension social issues of specific protesters. The program was set up to train individual police agency instructors to go back to their respective agencies and plan for/prepare/train and respond to public demonstrations to maintain order in their communities. New orders for Lamperd products have already begun to be placed as a result of this training effort.
Throughout the training courses Lamperd specialty equipment was used exclusively. The specific approval was for an Application and Permit for Importation of Firearms, Ammunition and Implements of War (OMB No. 1140-0005).
The approval process was a long and meticulous route, started in 2017, which was sponsored and guided to successful completion by one of Lamperd's most important distributors, American Reserve Munitions (www.americanreservemunitions.com) headed by ARM's President Mike Bailey. Lamperd products were granted this approval largely because we were able to furnish extensive research data and reports from accredited institutions to fully validate the high quality, consistency, reliability and safety of our products. Tactical Coordinator, will attend the March 6-7, 2019 Enforce
Tac Exposition & Conference in Nuremberg, Germany to represent Lamperd
Less Lethal. Mr. Bremner will be able to make new contacts at this
important international event and increase awareness of the extensive
product line and training services which we offer. He will also promote
our new joint marketing agreement with the major aerospace and defense
company Gokser Makine Sanayi.
The 2019 round of Enforce Tac, the international exhibition & conference
for law enforcement, security and tactical solutions, will once again be
accompanied by the European Police Trainer Conference (EPTK). Since
2006, the EPTK has been taking place in the run-up to the IWA Outdoor
Classics trade fair, and since 2012 has been paired with Enforce Tac at
Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. The association PiD – Police Trainers in
Germany – organizes the EPTK in collaboration with Nürnberg Messe.
