From: stepup_keepup | 9/19/2007 12:55:35 PM | | | | I have decided to start a board for Soltera Mining Corp. as I have been following them since their acquisition of their flagship El Torno project in Argentina. From what I can gather, the company is newly trading as it was essentially originated in 2007 to hold the exceptionally high quality / primary asset: The El Torno project. Perhaps someone in the know can tell me more about what appears to be a phenomenal work of negotiation and circumstances to snatch the El Torno property from Penoles. I am not certain people in the investment community actually realize the significance of the claim and just how large and flush with gold it is, I was told by a learned expert that the El Torno has allot of gold and it is just a matter of reviewing the past data that indicated at least 2M ounces in one small section and going from there. Here is what was summarized about it so eloquently:
Their flagship El Torno Property is a past producing mine located in Northern Argentina. Historically, El Torno is a large gold-rich quartz vein up to 14 km long and 14 m wide that was worked by the Incas, Jesuits and Spanish. Most recently Latin Americas leading producer of refined gold, Peñoles, re-interpreted Puma Mineral's exploration drill data and after further work Peñoles estimated (non 43-101 compliant) that a 1.3 km length of the vein would have the potential for more than 500,000 ounces of gold to a depth of 100 m and that a 2 to 2.5 km length to a depth of 400 m would have potential for more than 2 million ounces (assuming a grade of 10 g/t). The vein has more than 1,000 m of underground galleries. The vein extends north-south, is sub-vertical, and is accompanied in places by a stockwork system of small quartz and pyrite veins that can extend up to 300 m from the main vein. |

The El Torno property looks good too. With gold moving higher this would be a good leveraged gold investment, and a good way to protect US dollars value. |

From: Pit Schmitz | 9/19/2007 4:11:34 PM | | | | Especially the El Torno Project in Argentina is very interesting. If you take a good look at the datas and the previous owner, it is udnerstandable, why Soltera runs this project. Besides these facts Argentina is a very attractive country to invest. To: Pit Schmitz who wrote (7) | 10/9/2007 7:38:30 PM | From: JohnPaul | | | These guys have a near-surface 14km gold-quartz vein,a past-producing mine and a stablized Argentina. If anyone listens to Doug Casey you know this is exactly the kind of explorer to get in on at the ground floor. I expect once a work program is announced and the first easy-to-get grab samples come back from the labs this will see $1 fast.
Gold is going up! |

To: stepup_keepup who wrote (9) | 10/17/2007 8:56:29 PM | From: stepup_keepup | | | Doug Casey was in Argentina; a friend advised me of the following: Isn't it interesting the day after Madison Avenue Research has a piece about pulse of affairs ( madisonaveresearch.com )and how it is a hot spot in the making; Doug Casey, the international speculator himself, is having lunch at the American Club in downtown Buenos Aires on Oct 11, 2007. He was quoted downplaying everyones lack of understanding of matters being no different than their uncertainty and unrest and cluelessness about direction the USA is going. People have as much a fix on the direction of matters in USA as they do in Argentina... the difference is Argentina has untapped potential and is hyper rich in mining resources... trillions to be made there. Soltera investors will be happy with their slice of the pie of a billion or so when the mine gets developed to the potential it never ever saw. Aluvial mining the top 2 - 3 m and ancient (and I do mean ancient) gallies over centuries that have started and stopped as time went on. The interesting thing is the gold is always there for the taking and there is tons of it, otherwise the ancients would not have mined there. Lets face it 14Km long and lots of upside... lets get some drills in there to build on Penoles and Puma and define some resources they believed are there. It is no secret that Penoles DID NOT give up the property, they wanted it baddly, just that the title owner wanted to do business with non bullys that would not wait him out in his lifetime.
Interesting indeed |
