ephud,

Re: "We blew it, and we're very humbled by it," CEO Hector Ruiz told analysts
in December. "We're going to learn from it, and we're not going to do that again."

I think Hector will be "re-playing" this statement for each quarter this
year ('08). Looks like AMD will be below $5.00 sooner than I thought. I will
be closing my "short position" soon.

Make It So,
Yousef

I don't think Hector will be around much longer but who really knows?

Good luck on your short position. I would have gone short too but I'm managing my margin and didn't want to spread things too thin.

It's no mystery who Gloo is so there is no need for anyone to harangue Doug anymore, spread the word.

Your errors here like your egregious errors cheerleading AMD these last few years are not my responsibility.

I would encourage you to post material relevant to this forum.

doug, re Message 23089418

You do realise that all this info which you are now spreading as gospel comes from 'Chartered output rumour is just Changi-Village talk over a plate of chili-crab with beer' ;-)

Message 23089770

You think it will be as reliable as your B3 is broken preachings based on similarly shaky rumor foundations ? ;-)

Meanwhile back in the real world

Chartered will not be confined to producing low-end chips. The foundry is capable of making the full range of AMD processors.

"They could be doing Opteron to Turion (AMD's notebook chip) and everything in between," Sonderman said.

The AMD64 Longevity Program offers a select set of AMD64 processors with an extended standard availability period of five years

90nm Opterons Doug being produced for at least another 4 years, who do you will be doing them ?!
