OTOH, I would feel satisfied as the highest total to pick the overall winner. Florida looks unbeatable but that's why they play the game. Thanks for the contest again this year. |

I would also like to congratulate the others who picked the Gators all the way, Seminole83 and Salesperson. Even though we didn't win the bracket picks we took the brass ring. Oden played his best game. Got some no calls while the refs called a lot of tight fouls on FL. Another year or two in college would help him a lot, In the end Florida had too much firepower at all positions. |

It's a shame they will probably not come back as seniors. Imagine a third year.... |

I prefer to think of my performance this year as a prime example of the parapsychology term, "Psi Missing," in which the person being tested for psychic abilities performs much worse than would occur by random chance.....like flipping a coin 100 times and calling it wrong 75 times.
Next up......MIND BULLETS! |

It will be interesting to look back five years from now and see how these guys are doing as pros. If they are holding their own in the NBA, then, yes, this Florida team will go down with the greats. If they flame out, it will be a shining example of how the whole was greater than the sum of the parts.
Congrats to everyone who picked Florida. The odds didn't favor you but Florida's will did. These guys dominated each and every time they hit the court and deserved to be crowned champions again.

To: Quahog who wrote (153) | 4/3/2007 9:09:15 AM | From: Jeffrey S. Mitchell | | | You had two six seeds making the Final Four. In a pool of 20 people, that's not a good strategy as if you are correct, you'll win by 100 points. Pick that correctly for ESPN's challenge and you might be in the running for prize money. If I had to guess, I'd say anyone picking all the favorites this year would have been very competitive. But a bounce here or there and Ohio State and Georgetown are watching from home, so you really never know.
