Very strong earthquake (7.7 magnitude) hits southern Mexico. Tsunami warnings issued. Quake felt over a wide area. No word yet on any casualties or damages.

Another dust effect I never knew about. They may be suffering in the heat but the dust might have suppressed a hurricane, maybe even the one that would have rendered Miami Beach uninhabitable, a fair trade I would say.
