Maybe they sold 300k at the open (bought at 17.50) to cover say 500k short shares for a much lower price...

We are at present down less of a % than SGEN. This is a sector move and simply the market doing what it does.

Ahh, that old familiar hollow in the pit of my stomach feeling. How did I live without you my old friend ;)

Short numbers fell just a little from 25.84 million to 25.22 million last reported 2 week period.

They were handed a gift today, I imagine some took advantage.

ida

Can't argue a correction, but, $1.50?? Yes it is climbing back, but, percentage wise, this was about a 15% dip on no news. Yes, there probably is some of this as a correction, but the time and pricing makes me wonder. Is an insider trading shares out of fear? And if so, what's the issue. This just makes me nervous since our past history with management is not what I would call reassuring. Just don't like it, I get an unpleasant feeling something is going on.

Hope I'm wrong.

Tricky
It’s down .53 cents
Stop worrying, if it was something major and negative the stock would still be trending down, not rebounding off the low

Tricky, the biotech sector isn’t for everyone. It’s not hard to tell here who have the stomach for it. It’s one thing to own a biotech like this, it’s another to have enough of ones investable assets in it that drops that occur in biotech with a degree of regularity causes fear. We all experience a level of concern with a drop, but we also know that if there’s some fundamental reason behind it that hasn’t come out, it’s going to fall quickly to a level that’s probably a buy anyway. There’s no sense in sitting at our desks with our finger on the sell button trying to guess if the market is playing around or if there’s a serious issue at hand. Most of us have learned that selling in fear or panic usually bites us and we don’t find out in time to sell before the damage is done if something really is amiss. We are at the mercy of the market, we only make it worse if we are at the mercy of our emotions.
That’s not to say that no one her has not gotten out ahead of bad news, but that’s probably a stroke of luck.

Hold only the amount of this kind of stock that lets you sleep at night. For some, that might not be much. For some of us, I guess we are hard sleepers.

If it makes you feel better my other large biotech holding is down .51cents a share too... which I find strangely comforting.
Biotech investors and in particular, IMMU investors have developed a complicated relationship with pain.
Sort of like professional athletes. There's is pain you can push through, there is pain you know brings the bad news called surgery, there is the pain of getting into the healing ice bath where all your nerves are screaming "get out", the pain of a deep tissue massage.

I look forward to the pain of taxes and would find a way to withstand the pain of an 8 figure check to the IRS
