I used my detailed investment analysis which says "up is better than down", and it works half the time, so lets see what they report. |

Makes all that profit taking on the way up look silly, but I'd rather make money than get slaughtered. No doubt more profit taking in the AM unless a bomb goes off at their factory.
Ouch!
I happen to be short $136 this Friday expiration covered calls. I'm thinking if COHR dips below $136 in afternoon trading today perhaps I'll buy some more, and then if the calls get exercised on Friday I've still got my shares. I think $136 after tonight's earnings would be a good deal for longs, but WTFDIK?

| To: Kirk © who wrote (26419) | 11/5/2025 6:40:32 PM | | From: Elroy | | | | Yeah, I bought COHR today in the afternoon just below $136 to neutralize the short $136 calls, and then I rolled those calls one week forward to $138 short call making a dime or some small amount.
So I'm now short a week from Friday $138 calls, but I have new COHR shares to sell if those calls get exercised on me. I got lucky today.
I have a few Mar COHR long calls at various strikes, all doing well now. I've been trying to sell a few out of the money one week COHR calls to make some income from them while we wait for March to appear, but so far all it's done is cause me to lose profit.
I am short a Nov 14 $120 COHR call which will probably be unrollable by the time Nov 14 rolls around, so I'll sell my first batch of actual COHR on that day. At $120, oh well. |

Coherent climbs 8% as Q1 results, outlook cruise past estimates Nov. 05, 2025 5:15 PM ET Coherent Corp. (COHR) Stock By: Brandon Evans, SA News Editor
Coherent (COHR) climbed 8% during early post-market action on Wednesday following strong first-quarter fiscal 2026 financial results and an even stronger forecast.
For the quarter ended September 30, the provider of high-speed optical hardware reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.16 versus the consensus estimate of $1.05. It reported GAAP EPS of $1.19, which crushed the $0.29 estimate.
Revenue for the quarter increased 17% year over year to total $1.58B compared to the $1.54B consensus.
Looking ahead, Coherent expects adjusted EPS ranging from $1.10 to $1.30 with a midpoint of $1.20 more than the $1.13 estimate. It projects revenue ranging from $1.56B to $1.7B with a midpoint of $1.63B well above the $1.56B consensus.
"Significant revenue growth and gross margin expansion drove a year-over-year increase in our GAAP and non-GAAP EPS," said Coherent CFO Sherri Luther. "During the quarter, we paid down $400 million of our debt. We also refinanced our debt, which will reduce our interest expense and further strengthen our balance sheet."

| To: Kirk © who wrote (26421) | 11/5/2025 8:38:00 PM | | From: #Breeze | | | | | Thanks. I continue to be amazed by the EW targets that my wave counts project. Since that chart and projection was posted the sub-waves for Minute Wave (circle) v confirmed that initial target but I think they project a much higher target. I post an update in the AM. Breeze |

| To: Kirk © who wrote (26421) | 11/6/2025 8:12:39 AM | | From: #Breeze | | | | Kirk, here's a COHR Wave Count Update. When I posted the chart you referenced on 9/28. I projected a target range for Minute Wave (circle) v. I have also written that once the sub-waves of a target wave unfolds I refine that projection.
The chart below shows the price patterns for the sub-waves that unfolded after 9/28. On this chart I provided an update on how that target range was computed (see the inside red fib extension ruler).
Now to the sub-waves. Minute Wave (circle) v has five sub-waves: Waves (i), (ii), (iiii), (iv) and (v). Wave (iii) is in play and it appears that its target will tag a 100% price extension (typically it's a 61.8%). Bottom line: Minute Wave (circle) v will clock a much higher price target. Breeze
