Received full color 20 page brochure today in the mail 08/01/2011 for Bering Exploration (BERX) from Carpenter Global Stock Advisory paid by JOL Group LLC in the amount of $1 million $85 thousand $90 dollars and $.42 Cents. It's currently trading at $.61 cents a share.
The concept is that there is money to be made by identifying stocks that are setting up for a promotion, buying them, then selling out after the promotion starts and pops the stock. I have tried it a little, but did not make any money on that. However, his notes and commentary on promotions has been educational and has helped me in my shorting of promotions. So I am happy with my subscription.
Prepromotionstocks.com is actually a pretty good service. Although it might be a seasonal one. We'll have to wait and see. Not sure why all the bashing though. I can't even tell you how many of the winter/spring pumps he identified first. That includes LEXG. Many may think it was InvestorsLive of some other tweeter, but in fact it was PPS. Unlike some other services he doesn't try and force anything or point out a stock just for the sake of doing so. Or worse still...frontload something and then alert it to thousands of subscribers and/or chatroom members. When all the pieces of the puzzle come together he sends out a 'gem' alert. He hasn't sent one of those in forever and with good reason. Barring POTG and RYUN there's barely been shit all summer compared to the winter. Most promos have been winding up like BERX. Epic failures. The trick to buying or shorting a promo stock is knowing when to trade it and when not to. for shorting I guess you could default to Sykes. He's pretty good there. For buying them PPS is pretty good when pumps are 'in season.' In the meantime having a guy telling you NOT to get involved w/ a loser is the next best thing. Bottom line is its not pump season, but when it was PPS was first almost every time. I suggest you start banking your lawn mowing profits this summer because come fall/winter/spring you'll probably want to be a member.
