o/t: SPRU-SPRL, a 13:1. $0.0022 became 0.03, rose from there, never revisited under 0.05 again....

I believe you are mistaken. Strat Petroleum as SPRU was a new entity R/M'd into the old F2 Corp shell for the purpose of assimilating Eliese Corp (Private). To clean up SPRU's 1 Billion+ O/S, they did a 13:1 r/s that all the stockholders new about in advance. Hence, we all collected at 0.0022+/- like crazy. As of the R/S it became SPRL. I don't recall any real petro income until perhaps much later, when it bought some wells.

The point is, all the SPRUvian longs did a lot of research on sucessful R/Ss at the time, and that one worked out OK. In general, I would agree with you that R/Ss suck..!!!

I own no SVXP at this juncture, and would not buy any - too much old baggage.

John :-)

I sit corrected. I just assumed any other company may have income. Sxvp did announce, back in Oct 05, but made a vague comment about april 6 (0r 9th), I may be dyslectic... but then sprung it the first monday holiday after Christmas. Saying a future split will happen is one thing, putting a month and day in the sentence could be deceiving, by making shareholders think they may have months to play the stock.
I SHOULD have seen the whole thing coming, as the parent company, Cali actually pulled the same thing before when cali was tddm or something.
