The high price of gold saved SSL this qurter. I will be interested to hear their explanation of why sales dropped so much. I am also looking forward to hearing about the FBS for Hot Maden, which they had said would be completed last month.

Riverside Resources aka RRI released an update on their La Union Au/Ag/Pb/Zn/Cu prospect in Sonora, MX. La Union provides a good example of RRI's project generator approach. They acquired the original property on the cheap from Millrock and have since used their local contacts and knowledge to gain control of other important land tenures within the project area, which now encompasses 2604 ha.

La Union covers a large area riddled with old mines and workings, and importantly, has never been subjected to modern exploration techniques. So far they have done some mapping and sampling, and will be following that up with geophysics and eventually drilling. And though they don't say it, they will also be following their usual practice of trying to find a JV partner who will pay for the work.

To get a good overview of many of RRI's various properties plus a look at associated company Capitan Mining aka CAPT, you can read a interview with KTN's CEO done by Caesar's Report at

caesarsreport.com

Wallbridge Mining aka WM releasedanother PR filled with outstanding drill results from its Fenelon gold project in Quebec, but reflecting what investors are currently focused on, the headline and much of the early paragraphs in the release are focused on the initial Resource Report for Fenelon, which will be released by the end of October. Mind you, the are continuing full speed ahead with the drilling, There are currently 11 drills operating and they expect to complete a further 45-50k of drilling by the end of 2021.

Message 33518654

Kootenay Silver aka KTN doesn't usually halt trading before releasing drill results, so you can tell they were pretty excited about today's PR about the latest drill results from their Columba polymetallic prospect in Chihuahua, Mexico. You can see why, given the headline intercepts of 2035 g/t Ag over 6m within wider intervals of 805 g/t Ag over 17m and 333 g/t Ag over 44m featuring a project high 9840 g/t Ag over 0.92m.

They seem to be defining a decent sized high grade area they are calling the JZ zone, which they have so far intersected in three holes. Needless to say, this has become the focus of exploration at Columba And that's not all; the latest drilling has extended the O Vein into new areas of the property.

At one point KTN was up 30% on the day, but it has since dropped back to a 10%+ gain on good volume.

WARNING: when I tried to access the multimedia in this release it crashed my browser and I ended up having to reboot my laptop. Maybe you'll have better luck, but ...

Don't think the FBS will be released until after the Environmental Impact Assessment is received.
Company did not say that it would be completed by end of September.

hope <> commitment

"We've always believed the Hod Maden was a permittable project that will be exceptionally profitable. And we're hoping that by the end of September, we'll have both the EIA and the feasibility study that illustrates both points".

Fair enough, but they still created an expectation. Don't worry, I'm not trying to trash the company, just going by what I have in my notes. That said, at the very least I would have liked to see an acknowledgment that the second most important event in the company's history -- next to the future announcement of the sale of their interest in Hot Maden -- has been delayed.

I understand that investors are anxious.

Q3 production was hindered by the suspension of mining activity at the Americas Gold and Silver Nevada mine.

The current news release was to inform the market on Q3 production and revenue.
A conference call will be held following the Q3 financials in a few weeks.
I expect an update on the Hod Maden project at that time; it is possible that the EIA and FBS are out by then.

It appears that some fund managers believe that SAND under usd $6 is a bargain.

There was a good debate over on Ride the Tiger about how to trade HIGH. I am on the sidelines for now, but may get involved on a pullback.

I ran across the term 'aggressive exploration' a number of times in mining PRs today. I can't help but picture a geologist punching trees and yelling at rocks "Where's that m*****f***ing gold!"

In the wake of yesterday's minimally informative PR from Sandstorm Gold aka SSL about quarterly gold sales, we get another, much more effusive, about an increase in their credit facility to $350M. Hmmmm, wonder what they are planning?

Orestone Mining aka ORS has released the results of geophysics on their Captain proprty in northern BC, where they are looking for a copper/gold deposit akin to the one being mined at Mt. Milligan 30 km away. According to the interpretation, there is an intense resistivity low west of previous drilling which is a good indication of the type of sulphide mineralization they are looking for. Drilling on this new target will begin shortly.

I prefer ORS's approach to the breathless style adopted by the likes of NRN and GNG.

I-80 Gold aka IAU announced more details about the financing aspects of the recent reorganization of its Nevada gold assets, which included selling some deposits and buying others plus a mill complex. Among other details, we learn that the equity portion of the Orion financing will be priced at $2.62 per share. As well, EQX will be enforcing their anti-dilution rights more, details to be announced.

ca.finance.yahoo.com

Fiore Gold aka F announced year end production results from its Pan gold mine in Nevada. (They annoyingly have their year end at Sept. 30.) The PR continues the theme of recovery from a bad period at this notoriously difficult to operate mine. Encouragingly, they managed to set a record with Q4 production and sales, allowing them to meet full year guidance and achieve a cash balance of $22.9M with no debt. The latest heap leach pad expansion at Pan should allow them to maintain or exceed current levels of production.

They also updated their nearby Gold Rock development project, where drilling is ongoing. A PFBS for Gold Rock will be out before year end, and they are aiming at first production by year end 2024. Methinks the devil will be in the details of how they finance the development

So far the market is not impressed.

Gold remains within its recent trading range awaiting a catalyst that breaks it out in one direction or the other. Saville still thinks the odds are favourable for an upside breakout.

But there remains a substantial risk that HUI will make a new low before the PoG propels it higher.

And I will mention in brief a few notes covered in great detail in the latest edition of the IKN newsletter; the new President of Peru is indeed following the time-honoured path of running from the left and then governing toward the centre. Meanwhile, in Ecuador new President Ted, er, I mean Guillermo Lasso's honeymoon is already over after a month, with widespread popular protests against his removal of hydrocarbon subsidies and his appearance in the Pandora Papers tax avoidance scandal., putting in serious jeopardy Lasso's efforts to reform the mining industry.
