From: koan | 3/2/2024 9:45:38 PM | | | | | The Netherlands and Ukraine signed a security agreement.
Why this is important, IMO, is because the Netherlands is the TOP producer of equipment to make chips.
So imagine how they can help Ukraine with their drone technology! |

The Netherlands signed a ten-year security agreement that will help the Czech Republic in supplying Ukraine with 800,000 artillery shells. .
The shells plug a big hole in Ukraine's stockpiles with the vital package of U.S. military assistance being withheld by Putin's Republican cock-lickers.

What the Netherlands has is knowledge. Edge of knowledge technology.
They make the most sophisticated chip making equipment in the world, unmatched even by China, and have a plethora of exactly the knowledge Ukraine needs.
The most advanced AI equipment for their drone program.
What's more, the Netherlands seems to be willing to provide both the knowledge and help.
You can bet that the back story is one of the Netherlands providing the most advanced AI knowledge and equipment in the world to them.
That company is considered by many to be the most important company in the world, because they make equipment for the most advanced chips no one else can make.

To: koan who wrote (352212) | 3/3/2024 1:27:04 PM | From: Elroy Jetson | | | Ukraine has zero use for one of the $500 million Twinscan EXE:5200 steppers that ASML manufactures as they have no chip making fabs.
Philips, IBM, Intel and other firms all contributed their technology and money to create ASML to become the company that would advance chip stepper technology for the entire industry. ASML makes neither chips nor drones.
Because ASML uses American military patents, the US Treasury controls who is allowed to purchase the newest version of this technology, which currently excludes China, Russia, and North Korea among others.
Intel and TSMC are purchasing a lot of these $500 million machines because they have chip-making fabs which can turn out a more advanced type of chip with these newest steppers. Intel took delivery of the first just two months ago. |

"The country’s largest companies dodged more than $275 billion in federal corporate income taxes from 2018 to 2022, a new report from the nonprofit Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy finds. The report examined corporate income taxes paid by 342 of the country’s largest companies from 2018 to 2022, the latest year for which companies have reported their earnings. All of them were profitable in all five years covered by the report. |

To: Elroy Jetson who wrote (352213) | 3/3/2024 4:05:23 PM | From: koan | | | You are missing the point.
The point being anyone who can build such sophisticated technology also knows how to build, or obtain, less expensive technology that would fit Ukraine's needs.
And the fact that the Netherlands has entered in to an agreement to help Ukraine, well--!
Great Britain is suppling new inexpensive "smart" drones to Ukraine that are so state of the art in their sophistication and ability to carry large loads of weapons precisely, and even shoot missiles, they are going to present huge problems for Russia.
And myriad other countries are contributing their expertise as well.

I heard they once had a game there where the losers became the menu for a "pot out of luck" dinner.
If you lived in northern California and you had to travel I-80 to Tahoe in the winter, you better have tire chains in your trunk. It happened to me one time---no fun putting the chains on during a blizzard. Plus, I lost money in the casinos during my trip to Tahoe. |
