OT: Thanks for the advice, but my recent vision loss has a specific cause, low pressure glaucoma, basically a contradiction in terms..

Glaucoma, which causes loss of vision due to high pressure attacking the optic nerve, is poorly understood, while my version, where you get similar damage in spite of having lower pressures is not understood at all. Unfortunately there is no treatment for damage to the optic nerve except to try to prevent further occurrences.

There is an irony here. Ask my former students! Much to their dismay, I have, er, had always been able to look at a page of text and pick out an error immediately without even reading it properly, because they just jumped out at me. And I still remember the only spelling mistake I ever made during my decades of education, when I spelled 'necessary' with two Cs in Grade 6. Oh, the horror!

So I just have to get used to the idea of making errors without getting upset about it.

Meanwhile, I contemplate what to with do the huge collection of books I no longer derive pleasure from reading and re-reading. I used to be able to inhale a 200-page novel in a few hours, but now it would take days and days of tiring and laborious work to get through the same book.

Apologies for any misspellings...

That's the first time I have heard any discussion of an IVN target above $15. I hope you are right, but do keep in mind what happened with the last IVN, the one that became TRQ. Friedland always thinks about himself and his pals first, so that version reached over $20 and then dropped under $5 as Friedland managed things for his own benefit rather than retail shareholders.

I let a few of my IVN shares go last year around $7.50. If it reaches $15 I might see all I have left.

IVN - I would love to see it run that far. Not sure I have the nerve to ride it quite that far. Personally I think it would take a buyout or bidding war to move it past the 16 buck range.

To the several hundred junior mining companies reading this message board: 1 request

Would it be so difficult to indicate where (Country/region) is a property is located when reporting about it?

Very often we only see the name of the property. If you know the Company well, then you know but if you are browsing through several NRs then you don't and need to go to the website.

It would be intelligent for them to put their trading symbol on the first page as well. Annual reports are the worst for this - pages and pages of lawyer stuff, fluff, puffery before I find the numbers and even further digging for the trading symbol

These are crazy times in the base metal markets right now, with seemingly all of them in deficit, partly due to fundamentals such as supply disruptions and partly due to financial instruments.

I can't recall ever seeing copper futures in such steep backwardation, or the copper price making 20 cent a pound moves day after day. Copper inventories in Shanghai have never been this low, and over 90% of the copper in LME warehouses is subject to canceled warrants, indicating that it will be removed from the warehouse and thus is not available to the market.

IF IVN is to make it to such lofty heights, which I consider unlikely, this is certainly the fundamental background it will require.

Of course, not all this copper is actually 'disappearing'. With all this uncertainly and shortness of supply, purchasers are building up higher than normal inventories which could be sold off again, albeit likely at a loss, if conditions change.

I completely agree. I probably read more mining PRs than anyone, and so many of them leave out basic information. Further, many of them exhibit a lack of knowledge of the basic skills of writing in general in terms of how the information is laid out.

I do sometimes 'improve' the headlines of the PRs I post on my Mining News board. I have contemplated offering my skills to the companies involved but then I would have to deal with junior mining executives on a regular basis.

One quirk that makes me laugh is when both companies in a JV put out virtually identical PRs without mentioning their partner.
