Stock rotation on the big boys? I always try to look for a reason to be bullish or bearish based on the charts, not the news.

This is going to be a look at what I see as a potential for a bullish/bearish move in the markets.

Right now it's hard to be too bearish until major supports get taken out especially on the big boy stocks.

IMHO on a bullish outlook is that we see rotation in the big boy stocks about to take place.

It's obvious that some of them have been doing extremely well and others are lagging.

I have plotted what I call a standard deviation within a channel pattern, I believe it is also referred to as a pitchfork as well.

First two blue lines are the original channel and then the yellow arrows indicate the size of the channel and I mark one deviation above the channel with a dashed blue line.

NVDA is just a beast, but then we have TSLA, MSFT and GOOG that have been the big players as of late.

I will then compare them to the potential moves that FB, AAPL and AMZN might be setting up to do the same.

I will also put NFLX in there as well compared to a potential move in AMZN that looks similar

If this rotation does happen, then I can see more bullish moves in the SPX.

The green and orange arrows mark cloned moves that AMZN is capable of making

EDIT

I could be a bit off on AAPL and FB

Hiski,

Top of the hat, when making money on a downdraft.

Most including my self hasn't a clue! LOL

Futures looking positive at this point.

We see, I'm expecting up due to clix 10 day offsets.

It's a bet you make every time till it doesn't.

Exactly. That’s what makes new highs so bullish - for every significant top, there are many, many temporary ones.

The futures ran up pretty strongly and then spent the whole night ranging and consolidating. Which way from here - we shall see.

No problem. ES just broke out of the range, in a wiggle 3 or C

Sorry, the best I can do… -g

Edit - looks like 4660-ish is the next R. If it can move above it and stay there, odds are it should run for a while.

I know -g

Volatility of VIX… those spikes have a tendency to lead to pretty consistent results. So far.
