I'am sure you have lots more experience trading these markets
than I do, but I keep on hearing those sad stories that one waits
and waits for that last little tiny bit to make it a full double,
and zap they lose it. Your "only .20 away from my double
... with white knuckles!!" sounds like you might best do
a compromise and sell 1/2 to get your investment returned
to you to invest elsewhere, then without "white knuckles!!"
return the blood flow back :o) so your fingers do not fall off,
and wait for the remaining 1/2 to reach its double or more.

Sound advice.... Yea, I did liquidate half for an 80% gain, and just now dumped the rest after noticing a stone wall resistance at 2.95. Looks like someone with allot of shares thinks they've had enough. I'll either get back in on the pull back or when climbing continues, but for a much smaller stake.

To quote a millionaire friend of mine, "It's never wrong to take a little profit".

lots of little profits eventually become decent money, or
i'am not a trader, and don't know if you know of Zeev Hed,
but i'am on an un-Zeev a.k.a. un-turnip thread just for the
contest where i'am at the top, and this thread has lots
of folks taking profits over "ego" :o)

mish, I was just going by a note a friend sent me.
I get an upset stomach around the turnip patch.
I prefer to be around positive people. LOL

I think it means the naz will not be far behind,
remember, the Q always amplifies the then current trend
in the Naz, Hal has a downtrend in force now, naturally,
the Q on the average will be weak.Zeev

So me thinks as to what you are trying to say is that there's a bunch of gloats pickin', but not a buyin'', and you're at the top of the heap?

"Zeev Hed", never heard of him, please elaborate. Also, "un-Zeev a.k.a. un-turnip thread"; how about a WAG.

All I know is I nailed it yesterday, highest sale of the day. I haven't gotten one of those for a while. Today, mid morning pull back over half a point, so I jumped in, only missing the bottom (thus far, the day ain't over yet) by a mere dime.

Best to ya,
RS

RS,

While i do not know what "a WAG" is, it might be that saying
about a dog's tail being moved about by a person so that the
dog's direction is not his or hers own choice.

Also, wag in my dictionary has a second meaning, eventhought
for some reason i was totally unaware of this as it has not ever
be used by or against me :o) "one who jests" which might be
explained simply by me being a highschool drop-out that seemed
until i joined Silicon Investor, to only associate with like types.

As for Zeev and them and his turnips, well you may be the only
person on Silicon Investor not aware of him :o) For myself, by chance,
while i traveled the dirts of deserts looking for what was talked about
marshmallows growing with ultra-fine presents of precious metals
hidded inside that required proof using a test by fire, which it seems
did not accomplish the task since the folks doing the testing would
simply eat them roasted marshmallow as they turned colors
unlike store brought one.

This story had this man Zeev, who is a working retired world class
scientist with others of equal ability, for reason still not clear to me why,
was in this desert dirt area not only in the beginning, but i heard
as the first. If Zeev was wearing a tin foil hat to capture signals,
is just rumor or not.

ok, here is some info

Doug,
Thanks for the links, looks like some very interesting research for the weekend. As for WAG, it's an acronym meaning "wild ass guess" ;-).

Today's activity shows a quarter point drop. My predict is we'll see a 1.50 or lower by close on Friday (hope I'm wrong).

I caught wind of a Boycott that was due to some sort of agreement in place between Smith and Wesson and President Clinton a couple of years ago. What I'm getting is that this agreement had some effect on hand gun sales which made store owners mad who in turn decided to boycott the company.

Anyone have further details as to the validity of this, what the agreement was and why store owners got so grieved?

TIA
