Wow: Today Talk of de-listing Chinese companies on the US exchanges? Nothing verified as of yet on that. However. it's being reported verified, limiting US capital flows to China

To: Trader2015 who wrote (3943)From: richardred RE- My personal preference is still not to invest in Chinese companies. Reasons in link. I wish you success in your investment. If I miss it . Let the board know how you made out.

I's much rather speculate in companies that Chinese companies might acquire here. I've had one success of Chinese company buying a division of an American company. That was Datascope- DSCP. The DSCP division was one of the first acquisitions by a Chinese company that I can remember. The company was ultimately acquired by Getinge.

RE-Delisting Chinese companies-- Is this non verified news being reported even possible? I thought the NYSE has it's own BOD. Who would make those decisions? Laissez-faire?

Just internet chatter and maybe something WH was discussing. Not sure if this could even be done perhaps by an EO.

Who Knows I guess POTUS looking for ways to turn up the heat on China. What ever it takes is ok by me as they have been cheating for a long time. At least this is one option I never heard of or even expected.

Ha, maybe an unexpected consequence would be China companies then Buy US companies, then issue more shares of that company to raise capital.

I'm still wondering how this one went through(CRAY) the justice dept. HPE does a a lot of business with China. This on Matters of national security (Supercomputers).

RE-CRAY It will be interesting to watch the regulatory approval process since HPE does business with China. This in light of matters of national security(Huawei) that have come under scrutiny. IMO a perfect example of a TO where IP and where their going forward might be the main reason? Hopefully ENZ fits that bill to only in labs business.

RE:XRTX CEO Barber just resigned. Stock might not be to receptive at first.
Case in point OMPI which I owned before the merger announcement. It struggled at first, but the major shareholder eventually force the sale of the company. The controlling shareholder is not going to see their investment be beaten up for long. I believe that's why Barber left. He was not for the sale of the company. Cray makes more sense now than ever. The just appointed a new director. IMO hypothetically a more likely stock deal than cash deal. I'm sure Cray doesn't want the whole company, but that's what investment bankers are for.
Cray stock has held up well in what might be considered a disappointing last quarter. IMO Cray As with XRTX. It's not where they are now. It's where their going to be, going forward. Just a guess!

Bullseye today in XRTX-Christmas Gift If completed. This makes 5 successful takeout picks this year. IMO a good chance for a higher bid.

This came out last week and to me Google's reach (especially in China) is a bigger threat.

Google’s Quantum Computing Breakthrough Brings Blockchain Resistance Into the Spotlight Again

This week, news has emerged that Google has made a recent quantum computing breakthrough, achieving quantum supremacy. It is being reported that Google, using a quantum computer, managed to perform a calculation in just over three minutes that would take the world's most powerful supercomputer 10,000 years.

According to Gizmodo, it has been long known that Google has been testing a 72-qubit device called Bristlecone with which it hoped to achieve quantum supremacy and the initial report from the Financial Times says that the supremacy experiment was instead performed with a 53-qubit processor codenamed Sycamore.
---------------------------------------------------------

The speculation/rumor is that China is working on (maybe as a partner w/ Google) such a quantum computer w/ the intension to surpass 50% ownership of all cyrpto currency (ie Bitcoin). The talk is it would be first in mining, then in the distributed processing of blockchains. This may/could lead to control/monopoly on the Crypto currency market.

An interesting theory but still decades out. Such a computer could make many/all of the privacy passwords/codes obsolete.

Did a little searching and Tadano. They just made an acquisition so IMO it makes it less likely for a hypothetical acquisition. This in light they already control 15% of MNTX.

Some of these auto supplier/parts services are selling at value prices. I believe there was a hub/wheel company that I was looking at (forget the name) but it was trading at/near multi year lows.

Sold out of SUP today. A core holding. It was a nice yield for holding, but now I'll capture the stock price appreciation.
