Amcor considering potential takeover of rival Bemis Co

Sept 7 (Reuters) - Australian packaging company Amcor Ltd is considering a takeover of rival Bemis Co, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Amcor is working with advisers to explore a bid for Bemis, which has a market valuation of about $4.3 billion, the report said.

Amcor said in a statement that it had seen the media reports. It said it is continually reviewing opportunities to improve shareholder value and said it regularly assesses a range of strategic options.

Glen just a curious question in your neck of the woods. MNTX a company I follow just added a new dealer. Just wonder if you knew anything on the company? I'm assuming they named it after Walter Payton the great running back, or a family member or relative works for the company?

Sold some oil stocks this week on the re-bound. CRZO had a very nice gain in a short time. Still holding leap calls in that stock.
