New buy today upon the recent big drop- SNAK- INVENTURE FOODS INC It's been on my watch list since the company put itself under strategic review. The company is still loosing money and the CEO just left for Del Monte. IMO a perfect time for the in coming CEO to bring value to shareholders. A couple products I actually use. The Nathans Onion rings & The TGIF potato skins. After all Super Bowl Sunday is coming up. IMO the company made a corporate identity mistake when it changed it's Name to Inventure foods. This when going from regional branded company to National branded. FWIW I like the past Boulder Canyon acquisition name as a National corporate Brand name. All this while maintaining their more known regional brands.

PR snip in July> Company continuing to pursue value-enhancing initiatives as a standalone company, capital structure optimization, a sale of the Company, a sale of certain assets of the Company or other business combination.

P.S. I'm seeing the company as to small a player to compete with the big boys. Perhaps an old Favorite LNCE, might be ready for another acquisition? I can see Cape Cod chips fitting in quite nicely with Boulder Canyon and other regional brands.

CNBC: Charter shares soar on report Verizon exploring a merger deal

My take: so long Charter and short Comcast as an arbitrage? Charter internet fee is much lower than Comcast, so if Verizon bundle their cellphone service with Charter internet, should be competitive.

Interesting strategy, I think the AT&T / Time Warner will set the stage for mergers of this type. IMO That deal being a poster child to your hypothetical deal. We have a new FCC chairman. IMO Any type of hypothetical deals before that, would have to be structured. This as not to pay significant break up fees if the deal cannot be completed. Mergers of this type generally take a long time to be completed because of the regulatory hurdles. Good luck on your trade. Whatever that might be.

RE: SITT #2 CTG- Interesting filing today. Lloyd I. Miller, III 13G/A filing reporting a 8.2% stake. IMO most likely a passive stake. IMO STAMPS my theory of being an undervalued company with TO potential. Which in turn, kind of rubber stamps my theory. This regarding CTG as a valued minded target, for a acquisitive synergistic Hunter in a very competitive field.
