This will pave the way for a series of neocon activists on a level the left has nerver seen.
The arrogance of the Democrats is overwhelming. They can't seem to get their egos to fit back in their heads after 8 years of cigar smoking euphoria during the Clinton administration. Certainly, they must be able to relate better to the American people than the swaggering Texan they despise. However, when you look at the polling results, Kerry does not stand a chance in 80& of the precincts that are polled. He gets all of his support from urban centers with high populations. Bush would continue to build a big enough lead in all of the smaller communities throughout an entire state and watch the lead shrink back as the polls from the major cities were counted.
To have the Democrats send 1000 lawyers into Ohio to get provisional voters back on track is fine with me. I think it is distateful, just like giving out cigarettes and booze to bumbs to get them to vote. However, the provisional and absentee ballots remaining in Ohio need to be counted before a legal precedent blocks up the polling process in the court system. Florida clearly showed that the provisional votes were consistent with the overall voting pattern of the state. No significant statistical deviations. |

Good to see Germany keeping it's resolve in Afghanistan. Too bad we don't have any German troops on our side in Iraq. I hope that Germany will step up the pressure against OBL and Al Quaeda. In any case, it's good to hear we have some support because the press has been ripping the US a good one to try and get Kerry elected. |

Last night they may have been hoping for the then 96k vote lead bush had to shrink to under 50k. If that happened he would have had a chance. He also was hoping for a tightening of the pop vote which did not happen. Now it is obvious to all that kerry has lost. He can only make an attempt to get the lawyers to somehow steal ohio. He then would be president who lost pop vote by 3.5 million votes. Kerry is a patriot first. He will concede defeat. Give bush credit also for not declaring victory last night. He is giving kerry and the dems a chance to remain a national party. Mike
PS I hit the pop vote number in my prediction. Bush will end up with 286 electors and i said 300-325. Total vote was 112 million not 120+ as predicted earlier. Youth vote in line with earlier elections. Kids never vote in expected numbers. They wont stand out in the rain when they could be making out and doing other things kids do. Dems cant ever get into red states without at least respecting alternate positions on cultural issues. Dems must have pissed off red states in a big way for bush to run up those pop vote totals. |
