I do not see anything to disagree with in your enumerated points, so what would I refute? I think you were incorrect about the rate of outliers, that is about it, but I don't care enough to continue to engage with someone like you. |

I've noticed we like to keep resorting things and giving things new labels. Sometimes based on a revised idea about history, or because of the over load of current events.
Let's all try this time to just be. Just ponder and feel what's right. No explanations needed. Plenty for all to do in the future.
This is about so much more than this next election.

Fact: August 2001 - tubes discredited. All DOE experts on record deny that tubes were for a nuclear weapons program. Fact: Fall 2002 - tubes magically are used as the "smoking gun" to attack Iraq.
Conclusion based on facts: The intel was cherry picked. Use only the "concerns" about an issue rather than the "reality".
Facts: those involved with the case, including nuclear scientists at the DOE, tried to raise alarms. The nuke scientists were threatened with the law to shut up. |

Not their hopes and dreams, not their good or bad intentions, not their words. And the more power they hold, the harsher should be the scrutiny. Ignorance, unintended consequences, bad intel, etc., should not be an acceptable excuse. This goes for all leaders.
Very well said. |
