Your tax dollars are going into homeland-security tech jobs, whether you realize it or not, and whether you believe it or not

I do believe it, but I think they are useless. Think about it, who buys products created by a homeland security tech company? Thats right, the government. And where do they get the money- from the taxpaying companies out there with a REAL business model.

We didn't just have federal spending on "homeland security" (aka pork)- we had a complete and total budget liquidation from huge surplus to the largest deficit ever.

That's some conspiracy theory anti-semitic thing...

Though I wouldn't be surprised that Rothschild family members or firms are partners in Quantum. Soros has described the investors as "wealthy Europeans who don't need us to make them rich".

There are lots of other factual errors in the article as compared to the books on Soros - i.e. he quotes them incorrectly. In Soros: The unauthorized biography he is described as posing as the son of a Christian Hungarian official for the year that the Nazis ruled Hungary and as this author somehow thinks is a revelation only left and went to London when the communists came to power. Soros' father bribed some other guy to set it up with false papers. The official who was bribed is described as confiscating the the property of Jews sent to Auschwitz. I can't see a big deal in that. What he should get killed? The guy who protected him would still be doing that.

Though the book then describes the whole family as hiding together. So there is some contradiction here.

OTOT

Since this is the defacto Katrina thread.

Anybody who happens to know details about the evalueville seller on ebay- please send me an email.

Evalueville on ebay is a huge volume seller that sells Bloomingdales merchandise for .99 (starting, of course). You can buy cashmere sweaters for $10 on evalueville. Anyway they were located in Miss I think. Site has been down (or no merchandise) since the storm. Hopefully they are ok.

I knew you would have the answers MOO - more interesting to note is why is that the first link that comes up when you search for SOROS and GOLD? You can manipulate GOOG searches - are there people out there with agendas selling falsehoods and lies? hehe

<i would like to think that i would have never gone to that superdome...>

See there is the rub though - I am sure none of the people there thought they would be either - in preparing for disaster you have to expect the unexpected no?

<i know better than to put myself in that sort of a situation>

Sometimes when disaster strikes - you just wind up somewhere - you knew better than to put yourself there but as gordo lightfoot used to sing - the best laid plans often fail.

<i am going to have to bow out of this discussion... and will defer to what patron said re 007>

HAHA - as monty python said - RUN AWAY!

<i apologize for having engaged you
for now, i need my mind to be elsewhere>

HAHA! How rude - what is it with you people wanting to get a quip off here and there and then want to run away before things get really good - so so silly. I made time to respond to you - I am sorry you dont feel the need to extend the same courtesy. intriguing.com

Jim

What is the talk in the Jupiter - Stuart area after Katrina? Anyone talking that they should move elsewhere? Anyone expecting an exodus? Might this pop the local bubble?
How do new buyers deal with insurance? Still pondering whether to seel those last two houses there. Both got new roofs from last years storms.

Thanks

Don
