From: Jhana | 5/20/2024 12:51:16 PM | | | | I was looking for movies about negotiations to show to a middle school class; they have seen "Fail Safe" now, but it was hard to find more. The "Missiles of October" from the 70s was quite good but hard to find. I then came across "Oslo" made for HBO, which tells the story of back channel talks between Israel and the PLO that paralleled the official US-sponsored talks at the time.
It's a gripping tale with excellent casting and performances. I didn't know the story, so I learned a lot too.
On MAX. |

We also finished "All the Light We Do Not See" on Netflix. Not having read the book, I didn't know what to expect. Very good. |

AND she was so accomplished- what she did in her life amazes me. If you have not read the Wiki on her, I recommend it. What a woman. |

From: Jhana | 5/23/2024 8:29:44 AM | | | | Season 3 of Bridgerton on Netflix has been fun so far. The theme this time is the ugly duckling getting her handsome suitor after all. They have done a nice job making the characters familiar and fun. |

From: Jhana | 6/2/2024 5:51:37 PM | | | | Britbox "After the Flood" is the classic British mystery 6-parter that starts with one simple puzzle and untangles some very tangled webs by the time it's done. Solid cast and story. Easy to binge in two nights if that's your style. We did the first three a la carte then plunged in for the second half. |
