Just wrapped up Part 3 last night; it's a bittersweet story with no big plot twist, just ordinary people confronted with a big surprise.

We also finished "All the Light We Do Not See" on Netflix. Not having read the book, I didn't know what to expect. Very good.

I bought the books based on Anne Lister's life- I had not realized she was considered the first "modern" lesbian! AND she was so accomplished- what she did in her life amazes me. If you have not read the Wiki on her, I recommend it. What a woman.

Season 3 of Bridgerton on Netflix has been fun so far. The theme this time is the ugly duckling getting her handsome suitor after all. They have done a nice job making the characters familiar and fun.

I had dismissed Bridgerton as nothing more than a soap opera set in Victorian England. Is there more to it than that?

It's a comedy and caricature of Georgian era aristocracy. You have to buy into the silly to enjoy it. No other redeeming substance whatsoever.

Britbox "After the Flood" is the classic British mystery 6-parter that starts with one simple puzzle and untangles some very tangled webs by the time it's done. Solid cast and story. Easy to binge in two nights if that's your style. We did the first three a la carte then plunged in for the second half.

"American Fiction" on APV is a clever, witty story that makes you think along with the main character about books and art and what is valid. Worth a turn just for the acting.
