So be it, I'll be there buying more as I now have some cash to trade in and out. I followed it on the Quote.com java site for 20 minute delayed trading and it really petered out in the last hour. Hoping their new clip on device is well received!
Good luck too!

My read of the TA is a bit different from yours; I see fairly strong support at about the 31 level. This also represents a pullback of about 1/3 of the recent runup. So, I didn't sell.........

By the way, the February 2 issue of Electronic News had an article about the recent Nationsbank Montgomery Tech conference; in it, a Montgomery analyst named Douglas Lee stated that he likes Aavid. Let's hope Montgomery is pushing it to their clients!

I'm a Montgomery client. They've been behind Aavid since the single digits and currently have a 45 target. The volume on this decline is kinda spooky. Perhaps its 144 selling...I hope.

I'd say they are doing quite well...another 3/4 towards the 52 high, and more innovation. Is Dell one of the big customers? If so, looking good.

Chris and Buckfa,

Nice two point move up so far thanks to a the initiation of a buy recommendation put out by Deutsche Morgan Grenfell today. Don't know any specifics, anyone else out there know anymore? Threads been quiet.

This thread goes in spurts. With the down day a la Intel might be a better buy, I am going to wait it out until between 30-31, have a buy in @ 30 1/2.

Buckfa:

I cringed when I heard about the dip after the close yesterday in Intel and wondered how much we would get hit, obviously it was quick and not too deep. I agree your buy is a good price if it will dip down; will be buying AATT, AHA, or RENX on any weakness, just a matter of which one triggers first. Good luck and keep the faith, all those chips will need cooling at some point.
