Wow, you know a thread is dead when no posts after earnings. Good overall numbers with the only downside I see is shrinking margins. Any thoughts? Buckfa

Jeff or others: Agree on the pleasant surprise with earnings and was wondering if anyone knows if AATT is the only supplier of the cooling casing for the PentiumII processor? If not, who else comprises the competition? Regarding margins, is it possible they have a contract that discounts units to Intel as the volume purchased goes up? Any thoughts? Aaron

Well, well...Just taking a quick look at the chart tells me that today was record volume @ 518,400 shares, nice pop as well. Interesting theory on margin regarding PII, maybe one of these days I'll get off my lazy duff and give IR a call. Buckfa

alternative heatsink solns are available from Thermalloy and JME . also AATT do not sell to intel ,but to the same oem's who Intel sell cpu's to . dave

Unloaded at 33 1/2 for a nice profit. Believe the TA is showing a drop to about the 26-28 range and then another run. IMHO Buckfa

My read of the TA is a bit different from yours; I see fairly strong support at about the 31 level. This also represents a pullback of about 1/3 of the recent runup. So, I didn't sell......... By the way, the February 2 issue of Electronic News had an article about the recent Nationsbank Montgomery Tech conference; in it, a Montgomery analyst named Douglas Lee stated that he likes Aavid. Let's hope Montgomery is pushing it to their clients! Len
