Frank - I've noticed that this has happened to SIGA stock early in the day of earnings reporting for the last several qtrs.

This was an especially good qtr for SIGA, yet I believe when some investors see that the results are at or barely exceed expectations, they are disappointed and begin to sell. During the selling, I think there are several stop loss orders that get picked along the way. Eventually, the buyers move in and the price recovers.

The conference call is probably at about 9am PDT today. I expect SIGA's price to be higher at the end of trading today.

Paul

I knew early on that the MM's were going after the stop loss orders, you could tell by the way it was going down. After they bought most of them, the price went back up. Like you I am surprised at the closing. No way this is not a $15 stock.

Buyout Rumors???????

There is a post on the Yahoo thread regarding a rumor going around that SIGA will be bought out in the next 2-3 weeks around $12-14 a share by a MAJOR consolidator.

As you know I think this could be a $15 stock, but there are several things that hold it back. The main thing is the debt, also they work off very little backlog, and their main customer (probably HP) is having a tough go of it right now, even tho the stock is up.
Those things said, they are expanding and business(plus margins) is increasing.
I would like for this to happen, but for more than $12-$14, because if they can reduce that debt, this will be a good stock to own. Just look at all the other PCB companies.
