If you look at a map, the big blow touched down at Kimberling City, MO and took an almost due east course, across the lake and then hit the strip, and then on to the Branson Landing where it basically spent itself. Everything north and south of that imaginary line was untouched. Still haven't been out to do a windshield tour of things, but go to the Springfield NewsLeader site and they have a collection of aerial shots which pretty much tell the story. Unfortunately there's no captions for each shot and only those of us who have lived here for some time can identify specifics.
I guess there's a silver lining in every story: most of the damage was done to structures built before Branson had a decent building code (thus, some extensive damage to older buildings). These old structures will be rebuilt and newer, stronger buildings will result. |

After you guys were hit then a tornado hit Harvester, Al, Friday night and darn if it was not the same houses that were hit last year. I have a girl friend, hit last year, just moved back into her house this week, after a year. Not sure how she faired this time but she was on FB posting this morning all pissed off at the sightseers that were all over her neighborhood. If she didn't get it her neighbors were hit again.
Things can always be worst.

In the background lurking. Lot going on the past couple of years. Limited with time. Will catch up here one day.
Been riding in/out YCS options past couple of months. Moo!
All is well. Glad things are fine your way.
