Terry, if you are referring to me and insinuating that I give all Republicans my support, carte blanche, you are mistaken.

The terms conservative and Republican are not necessarily synonymous, with regards to each candidate.

In the specific case you cited, Former Congressman Bob McEwen would not pass my personal litmus test for conservatives. Consequently, he would not receive my vote under any circumstances.

It is typically a good idea for one to know what one is talking about before one posts.

No, I most certainly would not.

I think social security and all other socialized programs and socialized medicine schemes should be completely eliminated, not merely cut, but certainly not in the way you may think.

I strongly support giving the citizens who have been forced to pay into social security and medicare all of the payouts and benefits they were promised.

The elimination of the programs should consist of a tiered and graduated approach. Future generations would pay less and less into the system and receive, proportionally, less and less in return until the systems are completely closed.

Such an elimination plan would be fairly achieved by gradually increasing the retirement age for citizens entering the workforce today and making participation completely optional for everyone. Modest lump sum payouts could be offered to current participants who elect to withdraw.

In summary...

- completely honor current and pending social security and medicare obligations
- make the programs optional for people who have not reached retirement age
- offer modest lump sum payouts for those who withdraw or decline to participate
- promise future generations less
- tax future generations proportionally less
- incrementally raise the retirement age
- gradually phase out and dismantle both systems by 2050 to 2075

I'll get back to you on this tomorrow, but how about a little interracial music for now?

Do not bother. What you have to say is inconsequential. I only responded to set the record straight regarding your asinine comments and childish lies.
