COVER SHORTY ...

Shorting a stock means opening a position by borrowing shares that you don't own and then selling them to
another investor. Shorting, or selling short, is a bearish stock position -- in other words, you might short a
stock if you feel strongly that its share price was going to decline ....

You mentioned ignored list. Did you notice 50 people ignore you? Is that also your highest ever? I confess to not keeping track or caring about that but it's an interesting juxtaposition, is it not?

I've never put anyone on ignore, imo that's generally for mental weaklings.

When I have time will take a deeper look at long term VZ chart, maybe this weekend.

Huh? VZ has around 1% short interest. You might as well round it down to zero. Or are you trying to educate the thread on short selling just like you shared your wisdom of the four decimal places and reading the tape?

Thank you for your insights!

What are you talking about? Instead of posting an article link, you posted a dated graphic of the motley fool logo? How anachronistic of you!

Your repetitive Z's, was that a senior moment where you were passing out to sleep, or your attempt to try and make VZ cool again? Or maybe just being an old baby -boomer- with no sense of humor?

I will note that today your glorious VZ closed lower again, a new intraday and closing low since going ex-dividend. The market indexes are nicely up so far this week and VZ is sadly lower so far this week.

What did the decimal places reveal to you today about the VZ market making book, so to speak? Inquiring minds want to know! Thank you so much for your market insights!

DUH! Have you calculated how much more than (I'll round up for you to make it simple) the 2% quarterly portion of that dividend the common VZ stock has declined since going ex-dividend on July 7th?

That's your homework assignment for tonight, do you think you can handle it?
