The Buffett Indicator says the stock market is massively overvalued. Given the incompetence on vivid display at the White House, one has to wonder if trouble lies ahead.

You're at the water's edge watching the American working class drown. Occasionally a few bubbles come to the surface. When they burst at the surface you hear the words:

"At"

"least"

"it's"

"not"

"Trump"

Years ago Box by the River got me on a group mailing list that at the time included Luc and Heinz. I rarely read it, but I never 'unsubscribed', just set up a mail filter and more or less forgot about it.

Anyway, this morning by chance I came across this:

Gentlemen,

I know that many of you are good friends with Heinz Blasnik ( www.acting-man.com). You will probably have recognized that he has not made any postings in the last couple of months and that he did not write in this e-mail-group anymore.

Unfortunately his health has deteriorated further and he is now in hospital. According to the doctors, the situation is very, very serious. I will try to visit him next week. Hopefully not for the last time.

My thoughts and prayers are with Heinz and I will pass on your best wishes to him.

Sincerely, R

I can't vouch for this, obviously, but I do remember Heinz mentioning years ago that his health wasn't good even then.

Sad. He has an excellent mind. Never known him to be offensive either.

I never got on that list, but always enjoyed Heinz's postings on CFZ, etc., even if I didn't care for Austrian economics or shiny metals. Best wishes for Heinz's health.

Box, if you're listening- pass this on.

Sorry about Heinz's health. Wishing him the very best and hope he gets better soon!

His last blog on "acting-man" was on December 20, 2020 :

Hi Terry, Heinz. He is wise. We benefit from his observations and he calms me on my PM positions.

He had always wished to visit Asia but his chronic breathing issue and the pandemic made the task impossible.

Prayers, and shall burn incense at temple this day.

Best to all, J

Hi Jay,

As you know, R's next message was sadder still.

Gentlemen,

I have just received the sad message, that our group member Heinz passed away last night.

I assume that he is now already sitting on a cloud in heaven, busily discussing capital structure and central bank policy with Mises, Rothbard and Menger and arguing with commies, central bankers and Keynesians.

Rest in peace, Pater Tenebrarum, you will be dearly missed .-(

Kind regards from Vienna, R

Yes, RIP Heinz.
