I have been amazed at the people that support mafia behavior. I can only assume they are ignorant of how it will eventually bite them in the ass, and they will have no recourse, because the system will have been completely corrupted.

And the youth... I think they are largely tuned out still, staring at their opioid-like phones.

All the elements that helped make this country prosperous and free, taken for granted.

It's a lot easier to understand e.g. the behavior of the Roman Catholic church, in protecting pedophiles for decades. There are so many enablers at citizen levels and in Congress, some doing it for money, e.g. those Congressional enablers protected their own payoff and/or re-election money streams, others for ideology.

I use history as a guide, and in the US, *hundreds of thousands* of people in the south died trying to keep a system in place that oppressed... THEMSELVES! The ability of the landed aristocracy to pay zero wages hurt them, and they put their lives on the line to protect those aholes and keep the system that suppressed their own wages and opportunity.

So, realizing these are essentially the same people, I don't have a heck of a lot of hope of them actually doing what is morally right or even best for themselves or their children. They are part of the lie, and it's unlikely they will ever acknowledge or accept that reality, and will destroy to protect it.

I also think that just enough State's have corrupt voting apparatus in place that there is actually no way Don John can lose.

Yes, that's going to be interesting to see next year.

I too am kind of amazed that so many people still seem fine with having a ludicrous carnival barker of a criminal for president, but there you go ... it's What's the Matter with Kansas writ large.

That's not dysfunction, it's Republican propaganda full of smarmy smears and innuendo ... hard to believe anyone can not see through it when Trump's obviously impeachable on about eighty other counts anyway.

Obviously impeachable>..?

Based on?

Doing things that every previous President has done in your lifetime?

Those things?

But when Obama and Hillary actually get caught trying to rig a Presidential election then...no biggie cause it's Bernie and Trump?

>> Based on? <<

The campaign finance laws that Cohen was convicted on; the 'grab 'em by the pussy' statement that was a high misdemeanor in itself; the violation of his oath of office by ignoring the emoluments clause and whatever else, the other 77 I can't be bothered to list ...

The fact that every previous President in my lifetime has also been impeachable has nothing to do with it, nor does your (probably bullshit) assertion that Obama tried to rig the last election ... you were talking about this prick, not them. This 'what about the other guy' diversion is tiring, BC. <ng>

I get it. The US public has been voting the "lessor of two evils" platform all your life and mine. Now we impeach Trump because half the country doesn't like his egomaniacal personality.

Sounds reasonable.

Sets a great precedent when the FCI and CIA collude with Obama/Clinton to derail the other party's nominee.

I don't really see a solution, but dismantling the Constitution because half the country dislikes the winner of the last presidential election seems.....extreme.

Grab her pussy was said years ago. Bill Clinton actually put a cigar up his interns pussy in the WH and Democrats had no problem with his behavior. Hypocrisy is the mainstay of American politics.
