Tao,

Perhaps I can help. First, I believe you need a RealTick III system to use scanning. Alerts still work, but scanning doesn't. I don't have RealTick and I'm hoping that Eric will support other platforms as he goes forward.

Second, I tried to use ESP and got nothing but an ad bar at the top of my screen initially. Turns out that ESP doesn't like my dual-monitor setup. The trick is to catch it just as it starts up and right-click on the bar IMMEDIATELY after it starts up. Then select, "Preferences..." and click on the button to place ESP on the left sider of your screen. Then the "Alert" bar shows up.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Dan.

Tao:

The ESP alerts will only be generated during market hours (9:30 AM to 4 PM EST). These alerts occur in real time, the moment the required conditions are met to generate the alert. If you log in after 4 PM or before 9:30 AM, then you will not see any alerts.

However, the Pristine ESP server is usually up and running 24 hours per day. You can log in at any time to set and adjust your preferences, you desired strategies, filters, etc. You can do that anytime this weekend, for example.

As for scans, as Dan mentioned, this feature inserts the list of scanned stocks into a Real Tick III market minder display. As a result, RT3 is a current requirement to use this feature. (Note that this weekend, all of the scans will be 'empty' since we shutdown and upgraded the software after the close on Friday)

I hope this has clarified things for you. Otherwise, please post another question and I'll be glad to help.

-Eric

We are currently trying to determine the best way to serve non-RT3 users for scans. While RT3 is the most common platform in use today, numerous other platforms such as QCharts have a large collective base as well. Our next platform we will be seamlessly integrating into will be the GreatTrade product by Cornerstone, which should be complete in the next two months.

As you point out, it might also be possible to create a text-list format to provide symbols of scanned stock to users who do not have access to one of our integrated platforms. I'll let you know when a decision is made on how best to address this question.

Thanks,
-Eric

Eric, you've made a couple of references now to upgrading the software. Is this all on the server end? In other words, what is the current version of the client software?

Thanks,

Mark

The current version of the software is ESP version 2.0.0. We will have version 2.1.0 released within the next two weeks with a number of enhancements.

Eric,

Glad to hear updates are on the way.

One thing I'd like to suggest for future update consideration.....unless you folks have already considered it and decided against it for one reason or another....

And that is.....a box to check on the sign-in page to remember your user name and password.....very convenient not to have to input them every time.

There is an easy way to have your username and password automatically remembered so you don't need to log it in each time.

Go to your desktop and right-click on the Pristine ESP icon. Select "Properties" then click on the "Shortcut" tab. From this window, you need to append to the end of the "Target". Currently, it shows the hard drive location of the ESP program and likely looks something like:

"C:\Program Files\Pristine\Pristine ESP\PristineESP.exe"

Let's assume your username is "humpty" and password is "dumpty". You will need to append your username and password information as follows.

"C:\Program Files\Pristine\Pristine ESP\PristineESP.exe" -U humpty -P dumpty

By doing this, the username and password will be automatically loaded into the appropriate location on the login screen. Don't forget to insert your username and password and not use humpty dumpty! <smile>
