Hi Don, Don't know if PLNS is involved directly....I don't think so. But here is a link where you can gather some information about PRONTO. I'm still holding a core PLNS position, but I'm not expecting any real action until Q4 2000/ Q1 2001.
PLNS-fans Here is the info on the 2Q results conf call. I will note that they did not pre-announce during the disappointment week last week, so I am hopeful for a good report of results. Another trial announcement would be good too.

PLNS-fans, Here is another press release from PLNS. I am getting a very positive feeling from these guys. They are clearly ramping up the PR machine. To me that means that they believe that they are going to have something to say as the year progesses. And if it sounds like the Wisconsin Telecomm association is small potatoes, in the world of independent telcos, it's not. Getting in at 6 seems like a great bet and one I have made.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Pliant Systems Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PLNS - news) announced today that the Wisconsin State Telecommunications Association named Pliant Systems the Innovations 2000 winner at the WSTA convention held in May. The company won the voting with its Pliant 3000(TM) Integrated Access Platform.
The Innovations 2000 award recognizes products that provide new and innovative services to telecommunications carriers. Companies that are introducing new products in 2000 are eligible for the award. This year's new products ranged from interface cards that provide new services to access systems such as the Pliant 3000. WSTA members from the more than 80 local telephone companies in Wisconsin participated in the voting.
``The selection by the WSTA is important because the member companies represent a large segment of the market the Pliant 3000 Integrated Access Platform was designed to serve,'' said Craig Swinn, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Pliant Systems. ``The integrated ATM/TDM platform, with its distributed deployment options providing traditional telephone as well as emerging broadband services, ideally fits the diverse network topologies of the suburban/rural local exchange carrier market.''

Press Release SOURCE: Pliant Systems Inc. Pliant Systems to File Voluntary Petition for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., April 30 /PRNewswire/ --
Pliant Systems Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PLNS - news) announced today that it intends to seek Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina in order to facilitate an orderly sale of substantially all of its business and assets to a third party. Although discussions continue with several possible buyers, no agreement has been reached with any buyer. The company expects that in the current environment the proceeds from any sale of assets will not be sufficient to repay the $115 million of convertible notes that will become due May 15, 2001.
In connection with the prospective filing, the company is also restructuring its current operations in order to reduce its monthly operating expenses. Although cost cuts will be made across all departments of the company, the company will preserve all operating functions and intends to continue to provide service to all of its customers without interruption until the sale is closed.
The company believes that Chapter 11 protection is critical to the company's ability to effect an orderly and timely sale of assets and continue to maintain current customer relationships. Inquiries into the sales process can be directed to William Q. Derrough or M. Kent Warner of Jefferies and Company Inc., the company's financial advisor, at 212-284-2550.
