This business of a compliant press has been evolving for some time - the Brits started it with the Falklands, the Americans liked that a lot and we've had Grenada, Panama, Gulf War 1 and 2 - and, in between, the Balkans. There's no TV worth watching - even the Newshour - it may have improved since I gave up on it - thank God for the Internet - empowerment to the people

Rick, you've got Albert all wrong. He's really not as much of an imbecile as you suggest. If not for his drinking and illiteracy problems he could run for Village Idiot.

I don't think any kind of ranking system is appropriate. As somebody who is eclectic and not too religious, I think there are several roads to Dublin. Also, I think one can be irreligious and/or an atheist and still be a good person.

mainly help the wealthiest people who have too much money anyway.

1. How much is "too much money?" Is it $5? $50? $500? $5000? $50000? $500000? $5000000?

2. Who decides how much is "too much money"?

3. If someone with "too much money" walks down the street, is it ok for someone who has "not enough money" (based on whatever the government decides is "too much" and "not enough") to liberate the rich person's wallet, thus solving two problems at once?

"without even a possibility of criticism"

We all choose our sides, even you. Criticism of the Arab world is as much in evidence in your discussions as Albert's criticism of America or Israel. Irony abounds.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us. It compares with everything I have heard from my friends who have been in country. I repeat again for the UMPTEENTH TIME, why cant our MEDIA realize its stories like THIS that the American public wants to hear and they should go out in the field and not sit in their Bagdad hotel and find and report them. jdn
