rman,

You are not kidding. Did you see that ship full of Kurds land in France
the other day? The whole situation is stupid. Kurds from Turkey are
exterminated by our NATO friend while Kurds on the Iraqi side of the
border are given air protection and aid. Many of those Kurds are refugees
from NATO (Turkish airstrikes with F-16s).

Hopefully, the Bush Admin will be a little more logical than Clinton.

<<Hopefully, the Bush Admin will be a little more logical than Clinton.>>

These things appear to have little influence over what is really going on.
The pattern has been repeated for several decades now.

Check out Richard Blum's books, or Noam Chomsky.. Even magazine articles like the last two issues of Harper's which clearly outlines Kissinger's involvement with death squads and clandestine dealings with dictators....

rrman,

I have read some Noam Chomsky. He is the mother of all conspiracy
theorists. Of course, I like a good conspiracy theory. Do you ever
read alt.conspiracy? I love that newsgroup. I do wonder how we pick
our enemies. I think what really pissed Europe and Clinton off about
the Serbs and Mislovic was when he arrested the Dutch Peacekeepers.
Milosevic crossed the line with the liberals when he had Peacekeepers
chained to antiaircraft missile batteries. Personally, I think we should
drop all sanctions against Cuba, Iraq, and Yugoslavia. Its China that
we have to worry about. They have the ability to become a global military
power and influence in about 10 years. Its a worst case senario. The
country is ripe for a Stallinist coup. They are one Saddam away from
become a threat to the planet.

Well I'm not sure this Chomsky stuff is theory... The facts presented , back his case up far better IMHO then say bombing for "Humanitarian" reasons do.
His stuff fits the picture a lot better than the slop CNN feeds us.
