I have no intention of selling GLW. My buy in at 63 gives me a very reasonable average cost on my overal positionl.

Here's one for you:

The DJIA is now up more than 1100 points since its intraday low on Oct. 18 (8 trading days ago). This struck me as the fastest 1000 point move ever in the Dow.... but it wasn't even the fastest this year.

The fastest 1000 point move in the Dow this year that I could find was March 14 to 20 (counting intraday numbers) and there was another in the temporary bounce off of the April 14 lows as well.

The periods which followed those quick moves were not pleasant, as you all may remember.....

good idea....late to the table. We are going out as soon as Mom gets home from the ball bearing factory.

BTW: Smoothsail is here to assist in the collection of sugar substances.

The others on the thread have gotten together secretly and assigned tasks around ..... one of them is to bum your high on a daily basis ; )

The most sought after position, though, is to spoil JXN..... it seems that there is no shortage of volunteers for that job.

Flight home was pleasant, much more so than that flight today in Taiwan .... I also cringe when I hear about these things.... and now Singapore Airlines, the world's greatest airline, is off of the no-fatality list. Other than Southwest, I am hard pressed to name a large airline that hasn't had at least one nasty incident by now..... but it's still safer to fly than to drive to the airport.
