From: miraje | 7/26/2024 10:35:51 AM | | | | Quick question. I'm looking to buy a refurbed laptop. I can choose either Win 10 or Win 11 for an OS. Much difference? I'm a very light user with an old Win 7 laptop that's breaking down and am looking for an easy transition. Recommendations? |

I'm not a techie, so new bells and whistles mean less to me than an easy transition and shorter learning curve. I want something similar enough to what I'm currently using that I can just plug it in and go. What are the major differences (mainly interface) between 10 and 11?
Thanks again for your input.. |

Win 11 has not gained traction as quickly as Microsoft had hoped yet and most people are sticking with 10 for now. It still has more than twice the market share of Win 11.
I'm a Mac user, but I do the same thing with macOS, I usually stay one major release version behind until the OS is more "fully baked" and most of the kinks have been worked out. |

I'm on the verge of replacing my 13 year old Toshiba. It's done everything I bot it to do. Lately, it stopped finding my router for internet connection. I've tried a few suggestions, but it just stopped a few days ago and won't go near a connection again. Like you, I don't need it for all the previous stuff anymore, it's really a kitchen table convenience along with morning coffee and cookies, reading email and headline news. Checking on the market open, etc. |
