Congrats on the century-millennium grub !!

But booo, hissss for not claiming the century grub (7600) on the Post Grubbers Trophy Case thread (this one).

You just can't get good help nowadays.

I blame it on the crippling economic conditions.

Which, of course, were caused by Bush.

Or, was it Clinton?

Or, was it Big Bird?

Sure is a pretty day.

Wow! I really am slacking.

I'm going with Big Bird on this one. That big yellow avian bastard has been messing with me nonstop for two days now.

I have developed a prototype automated "Grubinator".

Following are a few statistics of interest for all you grubbers.

As of right now, there are 9 forums at SI.

In those 9 forums there are 372 subjects that have had activity within the last 180 days.

There are at least 67 subjects in those 372 subjects that have a post grub coming up within the next 30 posts in that subject. Some of those subjects have multiple grubs within those 30 posts.

For instance, within the next 30 posts, post #1215 would qualify for 1221 (palindrome), 1222 (Karen Valentine), and 1234 (sequence).

Don't just SIT THERE ... go grub a post or two !!

Meanwhile, I will continue refining the "Grubinator" to recognize more grub categories.

Sure is a pretty day.

FBN - Grubinator ...

Version 0.00001

Following is a link to the upcoming grubs in the non-stock related forums. I decided to omit the stock related forums because I didn't want to pi$$ 'em off when grubbers jump in there and monopolize their boards while they are competing for grubs. I might add the ability to select a specific forum, or combinations of forums.

Currently, the included forums are Coffee Shop, Politics, and SI.

paidbashers.com

That list is current as of this morning.

No, it's not dynamically updated. I will manually update it periodically.

What do you want for free ????

Let me know if you see any grubs that aren't included in that list so I can update the code to recognize that category or that specific number in the future.

Final decision on what constitutes a grub is left up to the Grubaholics Anonymous committee, of which I am chairman. After all, I was the originator of the term "grub" way back in '96, so I should get SOME kind of dispensation.

Sure is a pretty day.
