BUGS Bio-Raptor Well-Received at International Bioremediation Conference

Company Press Release
SOURCE: U.S. Microbics, Inc.
CARLSBAD, Calif., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 1,500 scientists, engineers, consultants, and foreign company representatives are attending the International Insitu Bioremediation Conference in San Diego, where U.S. Microbics, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BUGS - news), is introducing its patented Bio-Raptor(TM) for contaminated soil cleanup, animal waste processing and green waste decomposition applications.

The Bio-Raptor(TM) is portable, street legal, and utilizes proprietary microbial blends with a patented application process to quickly and inexpensively decontaminate soil, decompose green waste, and remove odors, pathogen, and weed seeds from animal effluent.

The Bio-Raptor(TM) a shredder, conveyor, sprayer system is used to particalize soil into small chunks that can easily be sprayed with water containing activated microbial blends. After the contaminated soil passes through the Bio-Raptor(TM) system it is stacked onsite while the microbes break down the hydrocarbon chains into carbon dioxide, water, and other innocuous substances. In many cases, the concentration of the offending contaminates can be reduced to non-detectable levels or levels that meet governmental standards for a non-contaminated classification. Typical contaminants include: diesel fuel, gasoline, oil derivatives, pesticides and sludges, and animal waste streams from horse, cattle, and chicken sources.

The standard Bio-Raptor(TM) has a peak throughput capacity of 600 tons per hour and is ideally suited for portable insitu applications as well as centrally located operations such as a soil or waste-recycling center. The machine is also used worldwide in rock quarries and construction sites for soil screening applications, recycling, and aggregate sizing. Companies with machines similar to the Bio-Raptor(TM) can have their existing equipment retrofitted with the proprietary Microbial Application System to utilize the microbial blends required for bioremediation and waste processing.

''The International Insitu Bioremediation Conference is an excellent opportunity to introduce the Bio-Raptor(TM) and its applications as a high throughput, cost-effective solution for widespread soil contamination and waste problems plaguing our planet,'' said Robert Brehm, BUGS' president and CEO. Brehm indicated that he expected interest from many scientists around the world who wanted to use the Bio-Raptor(TM) for cost-effective, real world applications scaled up from their laboratory experiments. ''Here, at last, is a machine-microbe solution that solves the application problem of providing large surface area (small particle size), proper aeration, and water and microbe application all in a mobile package!'' To further the use of the Bio-Raptor(TM) on a world wide basis, BUGS is offering international licenses and Distributorships for selected applications in selected territories.

I can't imagine what is going on but the trading pattern is much more constructive. Even up on low volume the past three days and up on high volume today.

Looks to me like we are heading north.

Anyone have any ideas why?

I suspect it has to do with brokers recommending the stock.

I think it's the press release more than anything. I don't think that Stellar stocks, or whatever it's name is, recommendation has much to do with it, except it got BUGS name our to more investors. They show their compensation for their endorsement, so that, to me, deprives it of any real value. Yours, Steve

It is clear from Stellar report, they need financing to get listed on NASDAQ. That would seem to be the next step. The key question is financing at what price? $2.50, $4, $6, $8? Wish I knew the answer to that question. If the financing were at $2.50 they still couldn't get listed so I suppose that it will be at $4 or above.

Hmm.

From Stellar Stocks email to list today.

The presentation is tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 21st at 12:00 PM Pacific Time. The company feels it will have several major corporate developments that it can publicly discuss at that time. The presentation will be put on by our parent company,1st Net Technologies (OTC BB: FNTT) in conjunction with our Internet multimedia streaming technology partner, InterVu (NASDAQ: ITVU).<<<<<<

What does this mean other than good old hype?

* No news until then in order to have some impact?
* Just rehashed stuff about BioRaptor?
* More meaningless news about conferences and initial deliveries?
* More cancellable and no commitment by the licensee license agreements?

or is there real news in the pipeline?

* A meaningful investment by someone even more dough from Hopkins would be good news.
* News on NASDAQ application....this would I believe depend on new investment and I strongly doubt they will be able to meet net tangible assets requirement.
* A strategic partner.

Personally I think it much more likely than not that it will be news of the "can't believe they think the reader will be impressed by this" kind. None-the-less, we may be in store for a new high. If not, I will be very concerned. This PR campaign is presumably expanding the ownership of the company. But I don't think we are talking here about long term investors. The company will need to show something to get a better class of investors. BUT JUST MAYBE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO DO THAT AND THEN WE WOULD REALLY HAVE SOMETHING.

Looks like even Stellar Stocks has gotten tired of waiting for Brehme to deliver. They seem to have abandoned BUGS. Maybe they will get interested again when something good happens.

I wonder too. The stock is clearly going up. The recent press release was pathetic so I really wonder why the stock is going up. Some know something. But is it just a major hype move (my guess) or is something real happening?
