Many years ago I worked with a graduate of Julliard, an incredible pianist and man of many talents. He worked as a mechanic for the State of Alaska in Nome.

He carried a clean ballpoint pen case and kept his pocket knife razor sharp. He just knew one day the opportunity would arise for him to preform a tracheotomy.

Didn't happen when I was there. Wonder if his dream was ever fulfilled.

Wonder Bible.

Not sure what to say about this.

That is that silly thing with the awful voice. The Bible is best read in quiet solitude, imo.

Agreed! That sugar-coated voice would be enough to turn off most people, no matter how strong their beliefs were. Read the Word in private, out loud if you prefer, or in a study group.

Holiday car commercials drive me nuts.

How many times do we have to watch a commercial about a 30-something who has always wanted a Mercedes who wakes up on Christmas morning and there is one in the driveway with a ribbon on it?

Agreed, but at least they go away in another month. The commercials I've come to hate are for pickup trucks, sometimes SUVs. How many people drive these vehicles over huge boulders, deep mud holes, over dead trees along the highway? Or always skid to a fast turning stop? Lexus is bad with this stuff, as well. That activity will never motivate me to buy their car.

I am so sick of the US Cellular “Little Janet” ad. They seem to play it every half hour on TV.

Very annoying.

I'm fortunate that I don't ever get/see that commercial. There are plenty others that are just as annoying. How about Liberty Insurance? Or that jerk that's involved in all the accidents in the Allstate spots? No wonder I find myself watching Netflix about 90% of the time. Commercial TV for about an hour's worth of current news and even that gets pretty boring after 15 minutes. I don't turn the TV on until late afternoon, usually. Some national news, a bit of local news, then off until I want to watch a movie on Netflix. Even most of those are near the bottom of the quality list. Searching Netflix for value is a lot of work.... or I haven't learned how.

It reminds me of the gif you have on your blog. Either that, or the attack on Israel in the movie World War Z.

I can't decide!
