CSI Credit Systems International Inc. announces that the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, a Burnaby based confectionery company, will launch a customer loyalty program using CSI's ERNEX system and CSI's GT-100 terminals for all its corporate-owned locations in Canada. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory owns 11 stores and has franchised an additional seventeen (17) stores throughout Canada. Another customer expands ERNEX
- Family Golf To Roll-out CSI'S ERNEX(TM) System
CSI Credit Systems International Inc. ("CSI") announces the expansion of the ERNEX service into an additional 32 North American sites for Family Golf Centre Inc. ("Family Golf") of New York. Family Golf, which has been piloting the ERNEX service at 11 sites in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina since November 1998, has decided to roll-out the ERNEX service. Phase II will be to an additional 32 sites in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Kansas and Texas. Roll-out will involve the installation of 53 GT-100 terminal systems for the operation of an enhanced ERNEX program. The new program will see ERNEX tracking the activation date of new membership cards and the redemption of coupons. In addition, ERNEX will notify the customer when the membership card is close to expiry. This will all be done in real-time at the point of sale, in addition to the current points program by which ERNEX pushes customized messages back to the customer based on their purchase history. When this phase of roll-out is complete, Family Golf will be operating ERNEX programs at 43 of the 116 sites involving a total of 67 GT-100 terminal systems. In Canada, Family Golf centres operate under the name Eaglequest. "Roll-out of the Family Golf real-time customer loyalty ERNEX service is a strong endorsement of the ERNEX service and its abilities in the American marketplace." says CSI President James Christensen. "We have been very pleased with the results of the initial pilot program and look forward to the expanded program." says Stacey Morton, Loyalty Marketing Manager for Family Golf. "ERNEX has shown great flexibility and the reporting capabilities have helped us begin to move down the path of customer relationship marketing.". Family Golf owns and operates 116 golf centers. The centers are devoted to offering a variety of high quality golfing experiences to every member of the family. Each of the centers provides a selection of practice opportunities including a year-round driving range, facilities for chipping, putting, and pitching, golf instruction, a miniature and/or golf course, well equipped pro-shop and a snack bar. CSI lands McDonalds as a customer, joining Nike, Levi Strauss and Best Western.
Today McDonalds started a pilot in one store in Surrey BC with 4 CSI terminals. They displaced Royal Bank terminals because they are able to provide the paper audit trail for people withdrawing cash on Debit cards as well as paying for the meal. With the terminals in place other promotional programs can be offered in the future.

IMO This is a major plus for CSI, which after all is a small Canadian company. There is now someone with many powerful contacts in the Credit/Debit business in the USA associated with CSI and able to lend them immense credibility.
