My biggest takeaway from the WNA is the uranium market is even more opaque and lagging than I thought. Per the EU part of the interview more of the new RFPs are not being shown or presented in the open market (like S. Korea last year), but rather negotiated directly between parties. These contracts often take years. So the lagging impact of news is far, far greater than most expect. The Kaz news from just 10 days ago will probably take a minimum of 6-18 months to get mostly factored into the market due to the lagging nature of how these contracts are signed and (not reported).
The entire market structure needs to be redone as not only does it favor the utes, but it's not healthy for the overall industry. More transparency should have been required in the bi-partisian bill or the industry needs to come together. I don't expect either anytime soon.
OT - My brother is still keeping his eyes closed most of the time. When he opens them he gets very dizzy. Same thing happens if he tries to stand. But he still has his sense of humor and his faculties. Some vision lost on his left side. Still has on his to-do list to get another booster. I have a delicate line to walk to try to talk some sense into him, but right now the damage has been done so it's more important that he and his family are supported.
Fwiw, I took everyone off ignore over a month ago (prior to my brother). We need to bridge the divide (if possible). I don't wish this upon anyone. I do worry that this will be a stolen election. I didn't realize how easy it is for illegals to vote in many states. The only chance meritocracy, captialism and free speech have is Trump. Ultimately though he's a poor candidate. We need someone to appeal to more moderates and someone who's more pragmatic (DeSantis). But the fact that Trump is surrounding himself w/better people this time gives me some hope. I don't agree w/Vivek on everything but more often than not he's spot on. RFK will do well in his position if given a chance. |
