Jake, If they give him access, I don't mind if they make fun of him.

Jake, if the cos. hadn't bought me lunch, they would have never seen me when I was an analyst. <G> What I had to be careful of was free hotel rooms, flights on their corporate jets and the offer of a female junior executive as my 24 hour assistant during the visit. The first two really happened and I turned them down. I was holding out for the third one. <G>

OT-Jake, Nah, it's like the old joke: "we know what you are. Now we're just negotiating price." <G> I was always amazed at my colleagues in both research and in portfolio mgt., who were making 6 figures in the 80s, when the dollar was actually worth something, who would sell out for some gift or something that was only worth a $1000 or so. And many lost their cushy jobs and the ability to get another one for such stupid stuff. They will now call that "The Martha Stewart Syndrome," but it has existed forever. I always said I could be bought, but the price was beyond the benefits to the buyer. <G>

Yep. I used to tell my students sure they could bribe me for an A in my class. But since that would mean I would have to quit teaching, and I didn't want to do anything else, I would have to retire, and they would have to buy the A for enough for me to retire on. I set that then at 1.5 million. so that was my price.

Sadly, no student ever took me up on it, so I'm not retired yet.

Jake, it's like that story of the lottery winner today. He won over $200 million on Powerball. Anyway, 2 guys broke into his pickup and stole $500,000 cash. Now, breaking into cars is a mug's game. But, if they've got 500 gs sitting there...<G>

Dang, Christopher, you need to get a Buffett or Gates kid or a Saudi Prince in your class. <G>
