John - I am a recent (as of Friday - Jan.9) shareholder in this company. I participated in the 200,000 share cross at 60 cents. Obviously, since that promo piece, they've slipped from the $1.60 level. However, in this market, I think they've got as good a shot as anyone to get back up to the $2.00 to $3.00 level.

Exciting times for EBIZ, soon to be called JAWS. This is a brand new company with fantastic Data Encryption software. Here's the kicker - around March 15th, they are going to announce a contest with a $5 Million (US) prize to anyone who can crack their software. The ad campaign will be conducted by Palmer Jarvis DDB, one of Canada's leading ad agencies. More when I get it.

Can I get any information on this company on the Internet? What is their web-site URL. This sounds very interesting, especially with the contest coming up soon.

Cheers,

Hi bbruin. This sounds like a great opportunity! Data encryption is big business especially when it comes to the internet. I hear they may be moving from software to hardware encryption. If this is the case then that means not only can it be applied to the internet and computers but any other electronic pieces of equipment that requires security... ie cell phones. The market potential is huge!!!

Jack D. - You've hit the nail on the head. Data security is big business. Look at companies like Network Associates NETA -NASDAQ - $60+ and Security Dynamics Technologies (SDTI - NASDAQ -$32+, market caps over $1B. These companies do more than strictly data encryption, but it's a growing component of their businesses. Remember, Jaws only has about 6.7M shares outstanding; NETA and SDTI have something like 70M and 40M outstanding.

The company (JAWS) will get the promotional bandwagon rolling once the name change from EBIZ to JAWS happens. I can't see it taking longer than a couple of weeks. Once that happens, I will start up a JAWS discussion group.

Hi Joe - Was out of town for a week. The company's website will not be up and running until the name change to JAWS takes place. Just talked to IR and Chris indicated a maximum of 2 weeks but hopefully sooner.
