MIDL Midland Inc. Start-up New Departure Corporation was merged into America's Coffee Cup an inactive public company and the name Changed to Midland.
Check out MIDL thread as well as Midland SEC filings. Most of the action you will see will be in 1998 as the first year of New Departure operations start to be reported. New Departure used to be the bearings subsidiary of General Motors then GM decided to outsource that production and closed it down. The New Departure name was well known in the industry and the founders of new New Departure decided to adopt that name. The new New Departure is also in the bearings business. Good luck with your research project I hope this one makes it. Another one that could be a fraud situation is the merger of Rocky Mountain Intl into Olympus Ventures (OVIS)then the name was changed to Rocky Mountain Intl(new symbol RMIL). While the originator of this thread no longer wishes to frequent it, that does not prohibit us from gathering forward;

There is a company that I have recently learned about called TELE

TELE has just announced a letter of intent to acquire a private company in Farmingdale, Long Island with 1996 sales of $25 Million.

The Editor at Small Cap Investor has recently released a writeup on them;
it can be found at;

Message 3030415

biz.yahoo.com

I would be interested in other's opinions on this one.

LAFI-Laffaette,inc... or something like that. They did a reverse merger with (to?) another co. about a year ago, but might not be traded anymore. They were a cheap $5 IPO that faded into the sunset. I got in at 1.25 and out at 0.75 while my friend (lead)got in at 4.50 and out at 0.50.

Wavetech Inc. ( Nasdaq : ITEL) just had a reverse merge with profitable Imagitel Inc. ($40 MM revenue in 1997 and $6 MM in 1996). It can be very interesting.

Business Summary

Wavetech creates interactive communication systems through the application of ''intelligent call processing'' technology and proprietary software. For the fiscal year ended 8/97, revenues rose from $20 thousand to $866 thousand. Net loss fell 12% to $1.6 million. Revenues reflect higher installation revenue and resale of international long distance minutes. Net loss reflects increased expenses due to the installation of the Interpretel system, and increased advertising expenses.
