Every little partnership helps. I like to see Radius getting in early with these big companies. Hopefully it will payoff in the long run when the DV market is bigger. I think they are going to have some kind of stripped-down consumer oriented EditDV for Windows at the Comdex show. I certainly hope that rumor materializes. |

I was just reading an article in one of Ziff's rags on the future plans at Intel thru 2000. They claimed that although Intel would very much like to integrate IEEE 1394, it has canceled plans to support FireWire in an upcoming version of the 440BX chipset. The source claims that officials at two major PC makers convinced Intel that the added functionability wasn't worth the added $10-$20 per unit. Intel has publically stated that they will consider re-exploring this at a later date.

These are pretty much the same plug-ins that Radius announced at the DV Expo. Makes sense, since Truevision is using the Radius codec. I don't understand the need for Truevision doing what Radius is already doing. Maybe Radius needed some cash so they are licensing it to Truevision. |

Seeing Mr. Housely and the rest at our beloved aren't responding, I figured I'd share a suggestion box message I sent to Mark that went unanswered which kind'a sheds some light on his backbone or lack thereof:
To: 'mhousley@radius.com' Subject: Shareholder Correspondence
Mr. Housely,
Being a shareholder who has watched his investment in your firm drop in excess of 95% over the last two years, I cannot fathom the utter lack of concern you and your crew have shown now that we're facing another need for a reverse split. I and the other shareholders have heard NOTHING as to your plans to prevent delisting which if you're not aware, will most likely be the final axe in Radius's back.
I have eagerly awaited the expression of confidence in yours and your managers skills by a personal purchases of the stock you all represent, but continue to be slapped in the face on the realization that this simple tool to boost the stock price to prevent delisting and other undesirable alternatives will be avoided because you don't care to share the bathwater you have forced us into.
Why is it that you publicly broadcast to the entire investment community that YOU have no personal confidence in the future prospects of Radius nor you own abilities to wit. If you and your associate do not, tell me why in the heck should anyone else. Do you get the picture as to why we're currently sitting at 13/16ths? That is the message the street is hearing loud and clear.
I challenge you and your top executives to give back some of the salary you all have extracted from this firm in the form of some significant personal stock investment in your own company. Make the right move for a change and tell your shareholder that you and your people believe in yourselves and are willing to get in the trenches with us.
Don't you think it's about time? -Scott eom |

Bravo! Bravo!
Scott, Please let us know if you do receive any kind of response. (I might suggest sending a copy to the CFO and also IR if they are accessible by e-mail...)
I know that I am not putting one more shiny nickel into this company until I am given a reason (other than "Wait 'til next Q! Or maybe the Q after that...")
Insiders buying would definitely jack up the price. And insiders not buying... well, we clearly see the results of that!

Thanks Martin,
I will advise if I do ever receive a reply, but I'm not counting on it. Frankly, the way I look at it, if this Housely character does not start personally buying and quickly to avoid further shareholder losses, I want to know: WHY THE HELL NOT!!!
If not, get the hell out and don't forget the leave the keys. If we're going down the tubes, I want a CEO who's willing to go down with the crew too. Not some scumbag who drags his safe on the only lifeboat and chuckles as he watches the crew and investors flounder.
I say we start tallying shares on this, Yahoo and other threads to see how much push we have to force this turkey to start laying down his cards. I'm done with smoke and mirrors wait 'til next quarter crap. We can bitch all we want about Berger, but looking at the chart, this Housely ain't doing much better and I for one am getting friggin tired of the excusses.
The grace period is OVER Marky Boy!!! -Scott |
