You don't deserve this, but you are doing the right things. Calling Health Link and then the EMS was the perfect thing to do. I've spent more than my fair share in the hosp........horrid place............can't sleep for all the noise. Then of course just as you enter a nice, deep REM stage they come in and wake you up.
But..........really................. God bless them for being there when we need them, and also to the kitchen staffs for at least trying to make the food taste 1/2 way good.
There are a lot of prayers being sent your way Ron.......so many they definitely can't be ignored by the man upstairs.

The hospital he's in doesn't have good WiFi and it's and 1,100+ bed facility, so during the day when most people are awake his WiFi quality drops dramatically. We have to Zoom in the early morning for it to work very well. That is also when he makes his screencasts and videos for SI.
The WiFI issue makes it tough for him to do his usual duties like manage SI, or even just surf the internet for something to do. He did have a nice visit from one of his church friends yesterday and that lifted his spirits.
Overall, Ron is feeling tired and weak, but his resilience remains intact and he is just looking forward to getting out of the hospital and returning home.
The messages of encouragement you all have been sending have been really helpful to him. As most of us here know, hospitals are NOT a good place to get rest. The constant interruptions and noise, even during the night shift, can be very bothersome.
Thanks to everyone who has responded here with words of kindness for Ron. I thank you as well. |
